Workstead – Beauty, Purpose, and Design with Context
Workstead: Interiors of Beauty and Necessity presents the world of the acclaimed Brooklyn design studio, which combines meticulous aesthetics with functional purpose and a deep connection to history.
The book showcases a variety of stunning works by the studio – from personalized residential projects to iconic hotels like the Wythe Hotel in Brooklyn and the Rivertown Lodge in New York. Each project reflects a holistic approach that respects the environment, the community, and the craftsmanship of local artisans.
Workstead specializes in creating spaces characterized by Scandinavian restraint, handcrafted details, natural materials, and a nostalgic yet modern American touch. The book combines minimalist design language with homely warmth, creating an intimate and inspiring browsing experience.
